Rescue Tools puts several boot-time utilities into one very useful disc! Includes hardware diagnostics, offline password removal, and the Windows Recovery Environment.

...to the Rescue

• Test installed memory with the latest version of MemTest86+.
• Diagnose and repair hard drives with Seagate SeaTools, Western Digital Data Lifeguard Diagnostics, and Hitachi Drive Fitness Test.
• Reset a Windows password from outside of Windows.
• Use the Windows Recovery Environment for 32/64-bit versions of Windows Vista and 7.
  • Perform a Startup Repair, System Restore, or System Image Recovery
  • Perform a filesystem check with CHKDSK /F C:
  • Perform a system file check with SFC /SCANNOW /OFFWINDIR=C:\WINDOWS /OFFBOOTDIR=C:\
  • Repair the system disk boot record with BOOTSECT /NT60 SYS /MBR
  • Repair the boot sector with BOOTSECT /NT60 C:
  • Edit the partition table with DISKPART
